“How can I improve my grades? How should I prep for the SATs? What is the best way to study?”

Hi, I’m Alexandra Gamban! As an educator and tutor for students from middle school to university level, these are just a few of the many questions I help my students answer.  I’m passionate about teaching them how to learn successfully with me—and eventually—on their own.

It is said that “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

The most important information that I can provide is the type that helps students process information successfully on their own. The most important skills that I can teach also allow students to acquire new knowledge on their own.

Achieving your academic goals takes work.
Any student’s success is entirely predicated on his or her willingness to work, to tolerate tedium, and to do things that he or she would rather not do at inconvenient times. My students who have understood this typically achieve their educational goals. Some have gone from Ds and Fs to As and Bs. Some have been accepted to top universities including Stanford, Berkeley, Cal Poly and Harvard. For customized study programs, contact me today. I only take on students who are committed to doing the work required to succeed scholastically. If you, as the parent and/or the student, are ready to be serious about education, I invite you to explore the possibilities of learning with me — please call 530.524.9454or email me at [email protected]

“Alexandra can not only work with AP students, and keep up with some of our brightest teens, but can also work with students who suffer from learning disabilities.”
